Every so often I get on the phone with Seth Newman, host of the TigerChainsaw video game Vlog, to talk about the Sega Master System days and how many of those good old games came to be. Back then I was a hardcore gamer and product manager with a Don Johnson haircut and a penchant for bad sweaters.
Seth is one of the people keeping the history of video gaming, and Sega, in particular, alive. He has great insight into how the games play, their strengths and weaknesses, and works hard to find those like myself involved in their making.
Phantasy Star was one of the greatest games ever released on the Sega Master System. It was a high-tech, captivating role-playing game [RPG] that set the standard for this style of play in the early ’80s. Phantasy Star spawned one of Sega’s best franchises and has a cult following worldwide.
Recently Seth and I got into a Phantasy Star discussion. It’s now on the Tiger Chainsaw Show and you can see it here at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUw1jf2ef7c&t=3s
Thanks for watching and game on!
