One of the things I do to help me ideate the books I write is work with an AI program to generate character images and scenes. Seeing my characters come to life as portraits excite me and help me place them in more interesting dilemmas.

His eyes were pale chips of blue ice. A thin, clean line of scar tissue ran from under his left eye to his left ear.”
I still have to digitally work over the images to add the scar but the question is, which image do I use? My choices are:
These are the four options. If you want to help, pick one and comment below or drop me a line at john@johnmsauer.com. I promise I will not keep your email or add you to a list. If you are a Goodreads user you can also respond on my blog there.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate you being a part of this new world! I will be reaching out with more characters to help select.
All the best,
John
1 or 3, although might as well use Dolph Lundgrin.
I agree with COL Whippo regarding #4 being the best portrayal of someone looking worn and weathered from years of service. However, I think #1 works better as a cover shot on a book. It not only has a good profile angle but also has a much better context with the background (literally showing a hard life).
